Why it is hard
What makes Healthcare software different
Six things we plan for on every healthcare project, before a single screen is designed.
Data that must never leak
Every screen, export and log holds protected health information. Access controls, encryption and audit trails are part of the design from day one.
What we actually do
Patient data encrypted at rest and in transit, never in logs or test copies
Every view and export recorded with who, what and when
Signed BAA with each hosting provider before go-live
Systems that do not talk
Patient records sit in EHRs like Epic, Cerner or athenahealth, labs send HL7 feeds, and referrals still arrive by fax. Most of the work is joining them up.
What we actually do
We map your real HL7 feeds and EHR APIs before quoting
Message queue with retries, so a down EHR never loses a record
A daily mismatch report your team can act on
Staff with no spare minute
Nurses and front-desk teams use tools between patients, on shared screens. If a task takes longer than the old way, it will not be used.
What we actually do
We watch shifts at the front desk before designing
Key tasks in 3 clicks or fewer, tested with real staff
Auto-logout and fast badge or PIN sign-in on shared screens
Claims and prior auths that bounce
Denied claims and slow prior authorisations tie up staff for days, often over a single missing code or form.
What we actually do
Insurance eligibility checked automatically before the visit
Claim rules catch missing codes before submission
Denials routed back with the exact reason to fix
No-shows that empty the schedule
Missed appointments cost clinics revenue every week, and reminder calls eat front-desk time.
What we actually do
SMS and email reminders with one-tap confirm or reschedule
Waitlist auto-fills cancelled slots
No-show trends by clinic and provider
Audits at short notice
HIPAA and payer audits ask who accessed which record, sometimes going back years.
What we actually do
Tamper-proof, searchable access logs
Audit evidence pack exported in minutes
Role and access reviews scheduled every quarter

Problems we solve
Real problems, and what we built
The kind of day-to-day problems healthcare teams bring to us, and how we typically solve them.
The EHR, lab system, imaging archive, billing software and a telehealth app each held part of the patient record. Clinicians switched between screens and re-typed allergies, medications and results, and the copies did not always match.
What we built
An integration layer that turns HL7 v2 feeds, lab results and billing data into standard FHIR R4 records, matches each patient across systems with a master patient index, and shows one combined record.
What changed
Clinicians see one up-to-date record instead of five, re-typing stopped, and a mismatch in allergies or medications is flagged before it reaches a prescription.
Referral letters arrived as faxes and PDFs. The front desk re-typed each one into the EHR, so new patients waited days to be booked.
What we built
A document pipeline that reads each referral, pulls out patient details, reason and urgency, and shows them for a quick check. One click writes the record to the EHR.
What changed
Staff now check details instead of typing them, and urgent referrals are flagged the moment they arrive.
